How much does 3D printing cost in Kuwait?
3D printing cost in Kuwait comes down to three things: the weight of material used, the filament type, and how long the printer runs. The visible size of a part is not what sets the price — a large hollow part can cost less than a small solid one.
Because of that, the accurate way to get a figure is to send the file and have it quoted directly.
What actually drives the price?
Four factors do most of the work:
Material weight. The slicer calculates how many grams of filament the job consumes. This is the single biggest cost driver.
Infill percentage. A part printed at 20% infill uses dramatically less material than the same part at 100%. Most parts do not need to be solid.
Filament type. PLA costs less than ASA or TPU. Engineering materials carry a higher price per kilo and need tighter print settings.
Print time. Every hour of machine time has a cost. Tall parts, and parts needing fine layer heights, take longer.
How can I reduce the cost?
Several practical levers, none of which compromise a part that is specified sensibly:
- Lower the infill when the part will not carry load.
- Scale the part down if the design allows — a 10% dimensional reduction saves more material than most people expect.
- Choose the right material, not the most expensive one. For an indoor part, PLA is enough.
- Batch multiple parts into one run to share setup time.
Why is there no fixed price list?
Because every file differs. The same design changes price with infill, orientation, material and the finish requested. Any fixed list would either be padded to cover the difficult cases, or too low and then revised after the fact.
The fastest route is to send the file on WhatsApp and get an itemised quote the same day.
Which file formats do you accept?
We accept STL, OBJ, STEP and 3MF. If you do not have a model yet, describe the project and our design team can build it from scratch.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the cheapest 3D printing material?
- PLA is usually the cheapest and the easiest to print. It suits prototypes and decorative parts that stay indoors. Avoid it for anything left outside in a Kuwaiti summer, as it softens in heat.
- Why do two parts of the same size cost different amounts?
- Price follows the material actually consumed, not the outer dimensions. A hollow part uses far less filament than a solid one of identical size, so it costs less.
- How long does an order take?
- Small and medium parts are typically 24 to 72 hours. Complex projects, or anything needing post-processing, run 3 to 5 days.
